Prior to any construction or pouring it is essential to have undertaken comprehensive floor preparation. This ensures that the working surface is clear and free from any contaminants and is of sound integrity. We always ensure upon the highest standards of cleaning and preparation prior to any installation guaranteeing we achieve an effective bond and level finish.
Our Floor Preparation Process
Removal
We remove all debris and dust from the floor surface.
DPM & Insulation
We lay the DPM and insulation, ensuring all high & low points are removed and the boards are laid flat.
Separation
We add in a layer of a polythene separating membrane as is required with all liquid screeds.
Expansion
We place a layer of expansion foam around the perimeter and secure it to polythene.
